Digital Sales Executive

Position Overview

Journey Sales, makers of Smart Rooms, is looking for a digital sales executive to close high quality, new business opportunities with prospects and existing accounts. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this team member can handle all sales activities—from lead gen to close.

Prospects and customers do not want to talk to sales, they prefer to self-educate. Account Based Selling is about engagement and customer experience: making it easier for customers to buy what you’re offering by providing them a personalized experience to educate, engage and analyze their digital body language. The digital sales executive will showcase Journey Sales’ digital sales model by using Smart Rooms for all sales and customer engagement activities and will be responsible for lead generation through closing of high quality, new business opportunities with prospects and existing accounts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Close qualified sales opportunities achieving and exceeding quarterly quotas within an assigned territory
  • Build a sales pipeline to at least 3x annual quota
  • Build and maintain strong executive relationships with VP of Sales, Sales Enablement & Operations, Marketing Department and Customer Success Team
  • Analyze the sales processes of prospects and existing customers to understand how Smart Rooms can positively impact their customers buying process
  • Use social technologies to identify, target and penetrate accounts
  • Develop and utilize digital selling techniques to present Smart Rooms, engage customers, and build consensus across the buying team to drive an informed buying decision
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM along with Smart Rooms to ensure customer relationship management and engagement is effectively applied and standard processes are followed during opportunity qualification and development

Qualifications & Related Experience

  • 3-5 years of successful inside sales experience or field sales with emphasis on a sales experience in which the majority of the buying process was executed remotely
  • Experience working at a SaaS startup with > $5m ARR
  • Experience working within the insurance and/or financial services sectors preferred
  • Mastery of “Land & Expand” sales model
  • Track record of exceeding quotas in similar settings
  • Proven success selling digitally
  • Evidence of prescriptive selling skills
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with senior customer executives and leadership teams
  • Dynamic, self-driven, and self-disciplined
  • Salesforce.com familiarity and expertise
  • Understanding of the Challenger Sale and Challenger Customer (or similar) methodology 
  • Comfortable with the responsibilities and accountability that comes with a remote workstyle. (Journey Sales is headquartered outside Philadelphia, PA. If that’s where you are, great. If not, that’s fine too as the company embraces remote workstyles.)
